He moved to Allemaengel, PA when he was a teenager which is a small village
just west of Bethlehem. In 1761, Andreas and Maria fled to Schoneck? because
of an Indian war, they lived there for a year, and then moved to Hebron, PA.
In October of 1767 they migrated to North Carolina and settled three miles
west of Bethania.

Hezekiah came to Iowa between 1864 and 1868. His daughter Mattie was a school
teacher in Tama Co., IA circa 1880. Hezekiah and Anna were residing in
LeGrand, IA in 1870 and lived in Carlton Township, Tama County, Iowa from
1880-1900.
